Sofia Torres-McKay (Cramoisi Vineyard) and DeAnna Ornelas (Winderlea Vineyard & Winery) visited the KOIN News studio in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month to share about the nonprofit, AHIVOY, as well as an update on the harvest season. Torres-McKay and Ornelas both serve on the leadership team of AHIVOY, which creates opportunities for Latinx and Hispanic vineyard workers of the Willamette Valley to overcome socio economic challenges through education and professional development, paving the way for career advancement in the wine industry.
